Quintana delivers big blow to Froome’s Vuelta hopes

Breaking news

Chris Froome’s hopes of winning a first Vuelta a Espana suffered a blow when he finished more than two minutes and 30 seconds behind leader Nairo Quintana.

Briton Froome now trails Quintana by three minutes 37 seconds with six stages of the three-week race left.

Gianluca Brambilla outsprinted Quintana to win stage 15’s mountain-top finish.
