VIDEO: Becky James makes history at Worlds

Becky James became the first British rider to win four medals at a single World Championships, after

picking up two gold and two bronze medals

in Minsk.

Britain was looking for a new sprint star after Victoria Pendleton’s retirement, and James, 21, showed she is ready to take the crown, winning two world titles in the individual sprint and the keirin.

She started the week with

a bronze in the team sprint

alongside GB debutant Vicky Williamson, 19, and a bronze in the 500m time trial.

The Welsh rider’s grandparents made the trip to Belarus and saw their granddaughter make history.
