VIDEO: GB plans boost for women’s cycling

British Cycling’s performance director Dave Brailsford reveals he has a development plan for women’s road cycling to address the “gender imbalance” in the sport.

Brailsford was speaking after Britain’s Lucy Garner became only the second woman to win back-to-back junior road race titles as she secured gold at the World Championships in Valkenburg.

The Team Sky general manager wants to bridge the gap between young female talent and established riders.
